Leisure Together

  • Some of our Leisure Together Participants

Leisure Together is a service that enables people with mild to moderate learning disabilities (aged 18 years and above) to enjoy social events by sharing mutual interests and hobbies with other participants and volunteers.

Two co-ordinators organize events ranging from bowling, golf and football to quiz nights, meals out, craft workshops and IT classes in groups or as one-to-one activities.

The support from Watford Girls Grammar School has enabled the Watford & Three Rivers group to have ongoing Art & Craft workshops, including ceramics, textiles and digital art. Claire's dolphins (in the photo) was amongst their creations. There is also have a new Pool Club which meets monthly. This is supported by a group of volunteers who share this outing with a small group of service users.
