Shops

In our shops: Where else can you find a bargain, support a local charity, save the environment and have fun while doing so?

What we do: Our shops raise much-needed income for our charity. They promote recycling and care of the environment. They also provide valuable opportunities for supported volunteering. We work in partnership with organisations such as Oaklands College to offer work experience taster sessions for people with Learning Disabilities.

What goods do we sell: You never know what kind of treasure you will find. Our selection changes daily!

Parties and Fancy Dress: We've got glitter, glamour and style and really great bargains in party wear. Customise your own outfit and save £s.

Donations: We welcome donations of clothing, shoes, bags, belts, bric a brac, books, rags and small electrical items.

Here To Help: Coping with the loss of a loved one is always very sad and stressful and can leave families and friends with a lot to take on board. At Watford Mencap we will do our best to help collect any unwanted possessions within the local area.

Items we cannot take: Please note that we are not able to take videos, TVs or furniture.

Volunteering: If you like working with the public and have some time on your hands, why not volunteer with us?

Where to find us: 36 High Street, Bushey, WD23 3AD and 250 St Albans Road, North Watford, WD24 4AX

Our customers and volunteers say:

“There’s always something new – sometimes I come in twice a day”

“I work at the Bushey shop and that is really a lovely little shop full of friendly people & full of lovely bargains as well”

“We all work hard plus we have great fun along the way too”
