Involving People Project
The project was started by Hertfordshire County Council on 2009 as a way to improve the involvement of both people with a learning disability and family carers in planning and decision-making in Hertfordshire. They wanted to work with partners such as Watford Mencap to ensure that people’s voice and views were clearly heard by the Commissioners of services in Hertfordshire.
Over the last year we asked people what they thought about Hertfordshire’s Learning Disability Strategy, a health study from the local Primary Care Trust and the Shaping the Future of Care Green Paper.
