Adviser - Advice and Information, maternity cover

Do you like working through problems? 

Adviser –  Maternity Cover 1 year 

Part-time maximum 20 hours so could fit in with another role 

Circa £9,859  per annum pro rata plus benefits  

This is an opportunity for someone to try something new, working in the Advice & Information Service. As well as offering advice to individuals the service also hosts the BBO mentors as well as overseeing the Doing it Together project  

You will provide one to one advice in people’s homes as well as in community venues. You may also attend meetings, support people at benefit appeals as well as advocating on people’s behalf. You will also attend networking meeting throughout the region to promote the needs of people with learning disabilities 

This is a varied job and will involve liaison with professionals, service administration and delivery of direct advice. No formal experience of advice is required but if you currently support people with learning disabilities then this role could be for you. You don't need to know all the answers as part of the job is finding things out for yourself and training and support is also provided.
