We need an Assistant Café Manager

The Café in the Library

Watford Central Library

37.50 hours per week

£9.43 per hour plus benefits (£18,3kpa)

 We are excited to be opening the Café in the Library in Watford Central Library. This is a new and exciting way for us to raise money to support our services.

 

We need your skills and experience as our Assistant Manager to create and maintain a welcoming space with good food, you will have the opportunity to mentor and support trainees and volunteers to learn and develop new skills in catering, customer services and hospitality.

 

You will help the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the 7-day café service: including management of staff and volunteers, ensuring a high level of customer service, assisting in the reporting and monitoring of stock, sales and records.  

 

This is a role with a difference, and would suit an individual who enjoys the buzz of catering and hospitality as well as a clear commitment to people with a learning disability. Watford Mencap is one of the largest Mencap Societies in the UK working with people with a learning disability in South West Hertfordshire.
