Things are moving fast for Watford Mencap with the opening of new services and a move into new ventures and social enterprise. This expansion means we need to continue to expand our workforce and to ensure we that maintain our quality services and support whilst continuing to deliver the best possible outcomes for people with learning disabilities.
We are looking to deliver a first class HR service to enable our people to get on with what they do best in the knowledge that:
- They are supported to recruit the right people who share our values.
- They can rely upon pragmatic and sound advice.
- They are confident that HR understand the social care and voluntary sector
- They know HR systems and processes are robust and fit for purpose
Could you deliver this?
In order to do so we think you will most definitely share our values, ideally have an understanding of learning disability and be willing quickly grasp the current social care challenges. You would need a proven track record of attracting the right people for the right jobs alongside clear abilities to help managers retain and develop the workforce.
Sound up to date knowledge of employment legislation and its application is a given for this role. As is the ability to deliver it effectively. We think this takes someone with strong consultative abilities who can deliver messages in a way that people understand.
To compliment all this we need robust HR management and Payroll systems and would expect this person to be comfortable managing and developing these further.
It’s no mean feat we know but as part of our senior management team we are hoping to find someone with the ability and confidence to achieve it.
