Registered Care Home Manager Full time in Chorleywood, WD3.

Circa £27,000 per annum plus benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Watford Mencap as the Registered Care Home Manager of one of our three residential homes in South West Herts. You will be responsible for a registered care home, with a strong reputation for excellent care. The service has Good CQC and council ratings. There are 7 residents with different needs for whom you will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality personalised service. The building is a charming Victorian property, in the heart of the community.

Watford Mencap is an award winning charity providing high quality social care services and support to people with learning disabilities and their families in South West Herts.  We enable people with learning disabilities and their families to make the most of life, enabling them to fulfil their life ambitions.

You will be responsible for all operational aspects of this care home, ensuring that the team provide high quality person centred support to empower the 7 people who live there. This will include being the responsible registered manager with the Care Quality Commission.

You will have experience of managing, recruiting and developing staff and working within a CQC regulated service.  You will have previous management or supervision experience and hold a management qualification or be willing to work towards one. You will have an inclusive, and respectful approach to care and create a welcoming home.

Most importantly you will enjoy the challenge of juggling many activities to ensure that the project provides people with excellent person centred support. You will work mainly Monday to Friday, but with some weekends and bank holidays and participation in the out-of-hours management on-call rota. You will join a team that is driven by making a difference to people’s lives and in return you will receive excellent training and development, management support and a rewarding role.
