Burrda and Watford FC provide Watford Mencap with VIP treat

On Saturday afternoon, 8 of Watford Mencap’s Leisure Together group were treated to a VIP experience at Watford Football Club. The afternoon was organised and kindly donated by Burrda, official sponsors of Watford Football Club, and the members got to enjoy the perks of watching the Watford vs Leeds game in a box.

Charles Diab, General Manager of Burrda, said:

“We're really pleased to be able to help provide a special match day experience for a local charity such as Watford Mencap and support the good work Watford FC does in the community. We wanted to support Watford Mencap in its mission to have the rights of people with learning disabilities respected. At Burrda we encourage respect for all; for opposition, for the game, for other people and most importantly respect for yourself.”

The Leisure Together members were also given a fantastic 3 course meal, before meeting and having their photos taken with two players, Danny Graham and Tom Aldred. At the end of the day, everyone was given a programme and photo to take home.

Leisure Together coordinator, Layla Rynn, said:

‘We all had a fantastic day. The members really enjoyed getting to meet the players. Thank you Burrda for donating the box’.

Watford Mencap supports people with a learning disability, their parents and carers in South West Herts. Donations, such as these, allow them to offer more opportunities to the people they support. Thank you Burrda, and Watford Football Club, for supporting Watford Mencap and providing such a special day.
