WATFORD MENCAP REMINISCENCE MORNING

As part of its celebrations for the Diamond Jubilee year, Watford Mencap is holding a special coffee morning on April 7th at The Old Town Hall in Rickmansworth.

The aim of the morning is to bring together people who have been involved with Watford Mencap during the last 60 years as parents or carers. The charity is also inviting people who may not have known about Watford Mencap, but who are caring for a person with a learning disability and might want support.

Monica Griffin is organising the morning along with Alf Loose, former Watford Mencap trustee. ‘When we started, there was very little for our children. Round Table fundraised for our first premises, Table Hall in the Pinner Road. Former Tablers are welcome to come along as well.’

The morning is from 10am-12 noon at Watford Mencap’s head office, The Old Town Hall, 105 High Street, Rickmansworth WD3 1AN. Coffee, tea, cakes and biscuits will be provided free of charge, donations welcome. If you plan to come please email monica@griffinuk.net or phone 01923 713620.
