Thorpedale fundraise during learning disability week
On Friday 24th June, residents and staff at Thorpedale organised a cake sale and tombola as part of Watford Mencap’s learning disability week activity. The team set up a stall in the centre of Chorleywood to raise funds and awareness of the charity.
Fantastic selections of cakes were baked by residents and friends of Watford Mencap and a grand total of £265 was raised. The team were also raising awareness of Mencap’s Stand be me campaign, and were asking member of the public to sign a petition to put an end to disability hate crime.
