Speaking up for Yourself

We hold 4 meetings every month for people with a learning disability to meet and talk about things that are important to them. Others come to the meetings to meet people and feel more confident.

The meetings are short and people are there to help you understand what is going on. The groups use words and pictures to help people who can’t read and are supported by Sandra Ludlow

Where are the groups?

Hertsmere – 1st Monday of the month in Borehamwood from 4pm – 5.30pm

Three Rivers – 3rd Tuesday of the month in South Oxhey from 7.30pm – 9pm

Watford – 2nd Wednesday of the month in Watford from 7.30pm – 9pm

We have a separate group for those people with more complex needs that will be starting in early 2009 in the Watford area.

Anyone with a learning disability can come to the groups so if you would like to find out more or want to come to one of the meetings please contact Sandra on
