Watford Mencap's Involvement Group
The group was set up in November 2005 with the idea to enable people with learning disabilities to have a say in how Watford Mencap’s services are run and to help improve them.
The group is now quite big and has spent a lot of time thinking about what the group is for. They have decided the following
· Monitor and comment on the quality of Watford Mencap’s services
· Monitor and comment on the accessibility of Watford Mencap’s services
· Provide comment on the types of services and clients Watford Mencap should provide services to.
· Help Watford Mencap make their information more accessible.
· Provide a consultation service for staff and managers of the organisation e.g. interviewing new staff.
The group meets every month at Langwood House and anyone with a learning disability that uses a Watford Mencap service can join.
